Botswana giants Rollers arrive safely in Sudan

Township Rollers have arrived safely in Sudan ahead of their 2018 CAF Champions League preliminary round second-leg match against Al Merrikh.
Botswana Premier League (BPL) giants Rollers are leading 3-0 on aggregate having secured an emphatic victory over Al Merrikh at the National Stadium in Gaborone over a week ago.
Popa, who beat Police XI 4-2 in a BTC Premiership match at the University of Botswana (UB) Stadium on Friday, have landed in Khartoum, the capital city of Sudan.
The club released the following statements upon their arrival in North East Africa.
“We have safely arrived at Khartoum International Airport, Sudan. All immigration formalities completed. Time to move to the hotel,” a statement read.
“We have safely arrived at the Hotel Accommodation in Khartoum. Time to rest and then scheduled for a training session later during the day,” another statement read.
The winner on aggregate between Rollers and Al Merrikh will face either Tanzanian side Young Africans or Saint Louis Suns United of Seychelles in the first round.
