Ghana international Andre Ayew is set for make his second debut for Swansea City against Burnley in an English Premier League match.

Ayew rejoined the Swansea on transfer deadline day from West Ham United for a club record fee of €22.9 million last month.

But the forward has been out nursing a hamstring injury which he picked playing for West Ham against lower division side Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup.

“I have had a full week of training and feel ready but we will have to see – it will be up to the boss,” Ayew told club website.

“I am excited to have this second opportunity with Swansea. I am 28 and still have a lot to give.

“The team have put together a great run in the last few weeks and I hope to help build on that with the games we have in the coming weeks.”

The 28-year-old midfielder-cum-striker is keen to help Swansea retain their status in the The English Premier League. Ayew reunited with younger brother Jordan at Swansea and they will face Burnley at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

“You are always under pressure in life, but we have a great club with great fans. There are a lot of people behind our team. I am confident, but we must not be afraid to take challenges,” he said.

“We want to stay in the Premier League and as a team, we are going to do everything to make sure we achieve that.”
