Ghanaian attacker Kevin-Prince Boateng was largely responsible for Las Palmas’ acquisitions of Loic Remy and Alberto Aquilani, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.

The former Black Stars man left the Spanish side to return to Germany in this European summer, signing a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Yet before he left Las Palmas, where made a major impact as a player in the 2017/17 season, he was influential in convincing both Remy and Aquilani to sign for the La Liga club.

“His influence was huge. He told me I should not think twice,” Remy told Marca of Boateng in regards to his transfer from Chelsea to Las Palmas.

“He told me about the Island and how the people live here. I could have signed somewhere else, but I decided to go for Las Palmas with Boateng’s suggestion.”

Similarly, Aquilani said: “I am very grateful to him. His advice was the key that I am here.

“Boateng made no secret of the fact that he had enjoyed the time with the Spanish first division before moving to Germany.”
